My Bohol Getaway

It has been a long hiatus since I went out of town with a select travel companions. 3 of them are very good friends from treefriends, and the other, Rechelle, is a brand new friend whom is another PeXer and enjoyable travel companion. She travels a lot like me and so are the rest of the treefriends. We went to Bohol last October 11 (Saturday) and went back home October 14 (Tuesday). Although it was only a short vacation my Php9,000+ was so worth it for a 4 days and 3 nights stay.
One word to describe Bohol - AWESOME! An abundant region blessed by God.
On the day of our Country side tour, we saw Philippine Eagles, Butterfly sanctuary, Prony, a huge python - reported to be the largest in captivity in the Philippines and the highlight of it is the dance number of “Marimar” a gay dancer, dancing in a wooden hedge as his pole. If ever Prony died, Marimar will be the next attraction. The Tarsiers were one of the high point for me. Hmmm…kamukha ni Yoda ang Tarsiers noh?!
The Chocolate Hills deserve a special mention. This is an outstanding natural occurrence, not fully explained by science. It is well presented and available for a nominal admission. It is a popular site with Filipinos themselves and foreigners were remarkably numerous in numbers when we visited. I'm torn between the hills and the river as to the day's highlight. Since the latter included eating, it has to have the edge. Bohol Bee farm dinner experience for me is also splendid. Why not, it was my first time to eat organic food consisting of Vegetable salad topped with Bougainville and Katuray flowers and red rice, superb isn’t it?
It was in Dumaluan Beach Resort 2 where the rest of our stays were significant and memorable too.
I love their lukewarm swimming pool. And the staffs of DBR2 were all polite and courteous. The resort was fully booked that time dominated by Koreans, next is Caucasians, then local tourist checking in.
The beach in Dumaluan, Panglao is emerald green in color, pinky white sandy beach and Talcum powder seabed. Lots of star fishes hiding beneath the sea grass and see weeds. Snorkeling was the perfect experience for me being close to Mother Nature at its best. The feeling was surreal.
I wanted to go back to Bohol but with my whole family the next time. So ipon, ipon, ipon...

Quotes of the Day

"Kahit isang drum pa ng Fit 'n Right ang tunggain mo, balewala rin." - mader ni Bok

Pagbubuking ng nanay ni Bok sa mga tree friends tungkol sa palaging bilin ni Bok sa kanya na magdala ng Fit 'n Right pero wala namang exercise.

Eto pa .......

"Pinagpapawisan lang naman yan, pag mainit eh!" (Puntong Bulakan) - mader ni Bok

Hahaha. The best ang nanay ni Bok. Walang pinipiling kaharap. Sariling anak nya ang nilalaglag.

lungkot.

if there's one thing that i cannot stand, that thing is called sadness. why sadness? who or what triggered my state of sadness?.. why all of a sudden i feel empty and lonely?..

sadness..sadness..sadness.. i really can't stand it. it affects the whole ME. when sadness flooded tru, i got agitated and irritated at all times. i want to be alone. i don't wanna speak. i smile and laugh fakely at people. but those people noticed this called sadness within me. i replied a "OK lang ako" blankly expression to them and convince them not to worry.

what triggered this sadness? a lot of things. things that everyday i worried about..things that leaded to disappointments.. things that you cannot expect.. things that make the world carry on your shoulders.. and things that make my heart and mind confused..

I don't want all of these things.. please let this sadness pass...
